Bukan Cinta Biasa – Siti Nurhaliza

December 1, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Siti Nurhaliza is a famous singer amongst Malaysians, even her marriage with “Datuk K” has become a big deal. However, she has so many nice songs that even if I were to look for the title of a song I heard on TV, I wouldn’t be able to find it on the internet.

Here’s one I found randomly on Youtube. Bukan Cinta Biasa. Never knew the title of the song beforehand. This song had been one of my favourite. You’ll like it too. :D

Fumiko’s Confession

November 13, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Turn on the caption at Youtube if you want the English subs.

The above short anime was independently created by a group of independent animators.

It tells the story of a girl who confessed to the boy she likes but got rejected straight away.

It’s nice and if you have the time (more or less 2 minutes), do watch it. You won’t regret it. Even non-anime lovers.

Also, it seems that many people have seen scenes like in the anime in their dreams, moving at the great speed…

Odaiba Memorial

November 5, 2009 · Leave a Comment

On the 1st of August, 1999, a group of children in Japan had their first encounter with monsters known as Digimon. It was at a location known as Odaiba.

If it weren’t for that event that day, many of us might not have be who and where we are today.

We wouldn’t have known Digimon. Some of us wouldn’t be fans of animes. Some of us won’t be drawing fanarts, CG and writing fan fictions. Some of us won’t be starting websites and forums and some of us won’t have made AMVs. We wouldn’t have met others who are also fans of the series and some of us would have ended up never knowing each other.

Therefore, every year on the August 1, a memorial was held to remember that important day.

The year 2009 was its 10th anniversary. A celebration was held worldwide on the 1st of August 2009 and many AMVs were made by the Digimon fans in general.

Joe Kido would have been 23 years old this year and Takeru Takahashi would have been 18 years old, like yours truly. Time flies by. People grow up.

But it will always be a good memory.

Exams comin’ up

October 4, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Exams are unstoppable…

I have lots of exams coming up. No time to blog.

I took Art in UEC. I just realised that by making that decision, I dug my own grave. We have no art class at all in Senior form (again in Science) so we’re on our own. To make things worse, I unconsciously took 水墨画 (Sumi-e). I never drew any of those, and so I’m practically dead. But I’ll try my best anyway.

Next week onwards is exams all the way. UEC Mock exam, UEC exam itself, and blam.

Here’s what I’m going to do:

1. study Kc, Kp, Ka, Kb, Kw and the sorts for Chemistry, and then try to memorize all the reactions in Organic Chemistry (Aldehydes, Amines, blah). I am not going to study Inorganic Chemistry, probably not.

2. For A. Maths, I am going to study conics and trigonometry, and differentiation and integration if I have the time.

3. Not playing Maplestory for the next few weeks till UEC’s over.

4. No blogging. (but I’ll still tweet. http://twitter.com/kristalyamaki)

5. No anime watching… or maybe. I dunno.

6. Sleep early. Or at least get enough sleep.

7. Try my best to get good result, especially in Advanced Maths I: I need at least a B6 in UEC to be able to apply for Uni.

Wish me luck!

P.S: I’m listening to “Be All Right”, Takeru Takahashi’s image song. Takeru’s also known as T.K. in Digimon Adventure. It has always been one of my favourite Digimon songs.

HELP! IT’S A TRAP!

September 6, 2009 · Leave a Comment

The definition of “trap” from Urban Dictionary: a man who likes to dress up in women’s clothing and make-up. He even thinks he’s a woman at times, also acts like one and has an odd phobia of not wanting to showing his naked body. Out of shame? We can only guess, but he definetely has something ‘extra’ to hide you know where.

I saw a trap as recent as a few minutes ago.

She was so convincing that it really came as a surprise to me when she revealed that she’s a he.

And there goes her in a maid uniform, her wearing a school swinsuit to the beach, her doing CPR on another guy… yuck!

H2O -footprints in the sand-, episode 4. Watch it yourself.

I was scarred. >_<

An introduction of Nakhaie Ahmad

September 5, 2009 · Leave a Comment

datuk-nakhaie

I was introduced to this Nakhaie Ahmad fella from an article entitled “Muslim group says too many Hindu temples making Malays uneasy” over at The Malaysian Insider. This fella’s claim is so biased even though he provided statistics, it could only be said to be half-true. 72 Hindu temples to 13 mosques only in Sentul? Has he provided the number of suraus? Has he provided the size of the 13 mosque compared with those of the 72 temples?

Nakhaie Ahmad made the above statement as the president of a Muslim group, Yayasan Dakwah Islamiah Malaysia (Yadim). That’s his present position. He could have been higher up.

I made some research on this Nakhaie fella and I was baffled by what I had found: he was an ex-member of parliament for Baling, representing PAS. But more research shows me more. This was what I found:

Apa sesiapa ingin menjadi Nakhaie ke-2 ?

Wow. A vice-president of PAS who jumped over to UMNO during the Dr. Mahathir vs. Tengku Razaleigh days. He even remained with UMNO when Semangat 46 was disbanded. Accordingly he was the highest member of the PAS hierarchy to have defected over to UMNO!

As a PAS member he was known as “Ustaz Nakhaie Ahmad”. As an UMNO member he is known as “Datuk Nakhaie Ahmad”. Which is the more respectable name? You decide.

From what was said, Nakhaie Ahmad is now a rich guy living in a big house. However, he is no longer a respectable figure. Go figure. PAS is now using the story of Nakhaie Ahmad to tell PAS members to not defect to UMNO. However, if you ask me, PAS should also tell their members to not end up having the mentality of this Nakhaie guy. PAS would do badly if  so.

Help… Extremists in Section 23!

August 29, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Even from this far I can literally “smell” blood.

Earlier yesterday a group of protesters have appeared in front of the Selangor state secretariat building demanding the state government to revert the decision to relocate a Hindu temple from Section 19 to Section 23, Shah Alam, which these protesters claim over 80% of the residents are Malay Muslim. They propose that it be relocated to Section 22.

These protesters had even brought the severed head of a cow in front of the Selangor state secretariat building, stepping on the cow head repeatedly before leaving the head there.

They claimed that people like Rodziah Ismail and Khalid Samad were the who had taught them to be such extreme bastards. My gawd – if you wanna be bastards leave Khalid Samad alone.

Anyone with a right mind would be aware that their actions are akin to religious provocation (not racial provocation, mind you). Hindus do not consume beef as to them, cows are sacred. So stepping on a cow’s head is like… what if the opposite were happening and that a Muslim koran were being stepped on instead? I couldn’t imagine.

That alone could cause Hindus to retaliate. But that’s not it, these protesters have even promised that bloodshed would occur if their demands are not heeded!

It was then I thought another May 13 was about to occur again.

It’s the holy month of Ramadan. It’s a Friday. It’s in Malaysia. It is not for me to say that these people should be ashamed of themselves as I am not a Muslim myself, but they should be.

However, I am aware that a few liberal Muslims have come out and criticise this action. Khairy Jamaluddin, UMNO Youth Chief, for one, has harshly criticised and condemned the demo in his blog and has described the demo as a despicable one on Twitter.

P.S.: I have to note that the cow head was not something originally planned, according to one fella. Some “individual” brought it along for the demo.

P.S.S: Although the participants of the demo are obviously Malay Muslims, I have tried my best not to refer to anyone of their race or religion in my article. I take all protesters as equal protesters and give them equal limelight. And besides that, not all Malay Muslims are as barbaric as those protesters.

Way To Go, Hasan Ali

August 25, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I refer to the article “Hassan Ali’s religious police to nab errant Muslims” at The Malaysian Insider.

The first paragraph of the article is as follows:
“Mosque committee members such as the imam and the bilal will be given powers to arrest Muslims drinking alcohol in public, in a move that highlights the fundamentalist face of PAS and could scare off non-Muslim voters from backing the Pakatan Rakyat (PR).”

I’m sorry but I would have to disagree with the above bolded sentence.

I don’t think the move would scare off non-Muslim voters from backing the Pakatan Rakyat.

This is because the nabbing only involves Muslims who, not only ignored the fast during the holy month of Ramadhan, but also went against the muslim teaching of not drinking alcoholic drinks.

I for one support PAS’s move.

The only thing I fear is PAS might lose those votes from errant Muslims… but I’m sure they’re more than willing to do so to teach muslims what is right and what is wrong.

Interesting By-Election…

August 16, 2009 · Leave a Comment

“Satu simbol yang sangat menarik untuk Pakatan Rakyat sebab, pertama yang bertanding (di PRK Permatang Pasir) ialah PAS, DUN tersebut pula dibawah Parlimen Permatang Pauh dan negeri ini pula dibawah jajahan DAP. Sebab itu saya kata pilihanraya ini sangat menarik,” – Dato’ Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, PAS President at Permatang Pasir.

I strongly agree.

Salleh Man, the commissioner of PAS Penang, was picked to contest the seat.

Good luck there.
