Help… Extremists in Section 23!

August 29, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Even from this far I can literally “smell” blood.

Earlier yesterday a group of protesters have appeared in front of the Selangor state secretariat building demanding the state government to revert the decision to relocate a Hindu temple from Section 19 to Section 23, Shah Alam, which these protesters claim over 80% of the residents are Malay Muslim. They propose that it be relocated to Section 22.

These protesters had even brought the severed head of a cow in front of the Selangor state secretariat building, stepping on the cow head repeatedly before leaving the head there.

They claimed that people like Rodziah Ismail and Khalid Samad were the who had taught them to be such extreme bastards. My gawd – if you wanna be bastards leave Khalid Samad alone.

Anyone with a right mind would be aware that their actions are akin to religious provocation (not racial provocation, mind you). Hindus do not consume beef as to them, cows are sacred. So stepping on a cow’s head is like… what if the opposite were happening and that a Muslim koran were being stepped on instead? I couldn’t imagine.

That alone could cause Hindus to retaliate. But that’s not it, these protesters have even promised that bloodshed would occur if their demands are not heeded!

It was then I thought another May 13 was about to occur again.

It’s the holy month of Ramadan. It’s a Friday. It’s in Malaysia. It is not for me to say that these people should be ashamed of themselves as I am not a Muslim myself, but they should be.

However, I am aware that a few liberal Muslims have come out and criticise this action. Khairy Jamaluddin, UMNO Youth Chief, for one, has harshly criticised and condemned the demo in his blog and has described the demo as a despicable one on Twitter.

P.S.: I have to note that the cow head was not something originally planned, according to one fella. Some “individual” brought it along for the demo.

P.S.S: Although the participants of the demo are obviously Malay Muslims, I have tried my best not to refer to anyone of their race or religion in my article. I take all protesters as equal protesters and give them equal limelight. And besides that, not all Malay Muslims are as barbaric as those protesters.

A Dose of MapleStory… (17): The Golden Compass my ass.

August 27, 2009 · 1 Comment

And I’m not talking about the movie, mind you.

Recently there is an event in MapleSEA where players can collect alphabets to turn a worthless compass into a so-called golden compass. The Golden Compass, once used, teleports you to a map filled with golden pigs. There’s a time limit of one minute there, too.

Players are supposed to kill as many golden pigs as possible and collect as many golden eggs from the pigs as possible within the time given, lol.

Valuable items such as scrolls, equips and healing potions are obtainable from the golden eggs. However if you ask me, I’d say the “best” item Tsusaka has obtained so far was this:

swinebelt

A Golden Pig Belt. Even the name scares me.

Yea right. It’s totally useless. It has only 7 weapon defence, 7 magic defense, and will expire in 7 days! Ignoring the repeating lucky number “7″, it’s a total bad luck to obtain this item! Even the white belt is much more… realistic.

Peeps over at the Asiasoft Forums prefer to call it a “swine belt” as reference to the recent Swine flu.

I don’t care. I’ve made Tsusaka dump it.  It’s just a waste of valuable equipment space. Hah.

Harun Taib the Savior or Traitor of Terengganu?

August 27, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Dato Harun Taib

I refer to an article written by a journalist at The Malaysian Insider in Bahasa Malaysia entitled: “Harun Taib penghalang kerajaan baru Terengganu?

The title itself is pretty mischievous. Translated into English, it reads “Harun Taib the blocker of a new government in Terengganu”. Generally, Pakatan supporters (like yours truly) would end up pretty unhappy with Harun Taib as we would want to see more states fall into Pakatan rule. However, this is a totally different case where Harun Taib may instead be doing the right thing.

To those who don’t know, Ustaz Harun Taib is the PAS State Commissioner for Terengganu (Persuruhjaya PAS Terengganu), and ADUN of Manir.

In the above article, it was said that nine UMNO ADUNs led by Rosol Wahid have had a talk with Anwar Ibrahim in a hotel in Kemaman after the Manek Urai by-election. The discussion, accordingly, was that these nine fella would jump ship to PKR, and then subsequently support a vote of no confidence against Ahmad Said, the ADUN of Kijal and current MB of Terengganu. The assembly would be dissolved after that and a fresh state election would be called to obtain a fresh mandate from the people.

This proposal was shot down by Harun Taib who protested against it.

Harun Taib’s reason was because he felt it was more comfortable for PAS to cooperate with the current MB Ahmad Said. In fact, Ahmad was about to dissolve the Terengganu state assembly but changed his mind when he realised that Harun Taib wouldn’t cooperate with PKR anyway. (?)

It was said that Ahmad Said had once visited Harun Taib to buy two goats (kambing) from him and people were speculating that there might be something between the two.

On the other hand, the PAS Terengganu state leadership has announced that they would support any vote of no confidence to trigger an election for a fresh election.

Comments from The Malaysian Insider itself have been rather supportive of Harun Taib’s move. One pointed out that it would be very conflicting to form a government with the likes of Idris Jusoh and Rosol Wahid whom PAS has always opposed with regards on issues like fuel royalty, “wang ehsan”, corruption, etc. Another one said “Sekarang ni Ahmad Said mungkin dari BN, tapi nampak gaya dia ini pemimpin yang baik. PAS dari dulu lagi konsisten menyokong mana2 pihak yang baik untuk rakyat, walaupun musuh politik. “

So, what do you say? To the question I made at the title, my answer is: Harun Taib’s a savior. In fact, I don’t mind BN being in power if Idris Jusoh and his gang were to join PKR.

Edit: Rosol Wahid has denied the rumors. Read “Rosol Nafi Beliau Dan Lapan ADUN Umno T’ganu Cadang Sertai PKR”.

KJ vs Namewee

August 25, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Can you imagine this: Namewee sitting in a taxi operated by Khairy Jamaluddin?

And it’s coming true!

Coming soon on 9 September 2009 at your nearest computer with internet & Youtube access, a short video entitled ‘Meter’ by Lim Benji – featuring Khairy Jamaluddin.

***

Namewee is a Chinese who had shot into fame by singing a rap video using the national anthem, criticizing various Malaysian practices like police corruption and education flaws. Received his tertiary education in Taiwan as his UEC certificate wasn’t recognized in Malaysia.

Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar is the current UMNO Youth chief. Having educated in Oxford, he rose to fame by being known as the son-in-law of Abdullah Badawi, Malaysia’s 5th PM. However, he proved his worth as a fiery Malay politician by winning both a parliament seat in the 12th General Election and the UMNO Youth chief post.

Way To Go, Hasan Ali

August 25, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I refer to the article “Hassan Ali’s religious police to nab errant Muslims” at The Malaysian Insider.

The first paragraph of the article is as follows:
“Mosque committee members such as the imam and the bilal will be given powers to arrest Muslims drinking alcohol in public, in a move that highlights the fundamentalist face of PAS and could scare off non-Muslim voters from backing the Pakatan Rakyat (PR).”

I’m sorry but I would have to disagree with the above bolded sentence.

I don’t think the move would scare off non-Muslim voters from backing the Pakatan Rakyat.

This is because the nabbing only involves Muslims who, not only ignored the fast during the holy month of Ramadhan, but also went against the muslim teaching of not drinking alcoholic drinks.

I for one support PAS’s move.

The only thing I fear is PAS might lose those votes from errant Muslims… but I’m sure they’re more than willing to do so to teach muslims what is right and what is wrong.

Interesting By-Election…

August 16, 2009 · Leave a Comment

“Satu simbol yang sangat menarik untuk Pakatan Rakyat sebab, pertama yang bertanding (di PRK Permatang Pasir) ialah PAS, DUN tersebut pula dibawah Parlimen Permatang Pauh dan negeri ini pula dibawah jajahan DAP. Sebab itu saya kata pilihanraya ini sangat menarik,” – Dato’ Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, PAS President at Permatang Pasir.

I strongly agree.

Salleh Man, the commissioner of PAS Penang, was picked to contest the seat.

Good luck there.

AirAsia: We’re Forced Out of KK-Sibu Route

August 3, 2009 · 6 Comments

They’re cancelling AirAsia’s daily flights from Kota Kinabalu to Sibu.

When asked why, he (Tony Fernandes) replied:

“Because MAS (Malaysia Airlines) protested. Only MASwings can do it.”

Source: The Borneo Post

My ASS lah. AirAsia also can do it mah whut. Daily flights of AirAsia between the two destinations was almost always full.

In AirAsia we get to sit in an Airbus A380 A320. In MASwing we get to sit in a freaking Fokker 50.

We’re mad. We’ve booked our tickets back to Sibu for Chinese New Year next year and now suddenly they are going to cancel it. Who cares about refunds? Now we have to pay more just to sit on MASwing. And that’s a freakin RM1000+ for the 5 of us.

Is this what Robert Lau,  MP of Sibu, can’t even control as Deputy Transport Minister of Malaysia? “I’ll have to find out first before I can comment,” he said from Kuala Lumpur. LOL.

Here’s something for MASwing and those who are involved with the cancelling of flights:

F**K YOU!

A Dose of MapleStory… (16): Obtaining a Rank B in Elin Forest PQ

August 3, 2009 · 2 Comments

elinforest1

Recently, Tsusaka the poor little level 55 Fire Wizard has been camping over at Altair Camp, Elin Forest. If you noticed, he has been level 55 for a while now. Well, he has been killing himself. For what, you asked. He was aiming for the cool looking Altair Earring (+1 for all stats) the forest fairy, Elin, has offered. In return, Tsusaka has to complete the rain purifying Party Quest at least 20 times and obtain a B Rank in the Party Quest.

Tsusaka has obediently completed 20 PQs successfully. In between, he was disconnected quite a lot of times but he wasn’t deterred. He had used up a lot of expensive MP potions (Red Bean Sundae, Sunset dew, sunrise dew, etc) but he didn’t mind at all. After all, what that compared to the earring? *eyes starts to shine*

Elin had refused to hand Tsusaka a pair of earring then because Tsusaka didn’t have a B rank. Tsusaka then tried harder and did more PQ in hoping that he can reach rank B soon.

Later on, Tsusaka realised that all he did was futile. This is Tsusaka’s stats as of yesterday:

elin2

And the following is the requirement to obtain a B Rank, according to Yuri at AsiaSoft forums:

50% of successful completion.

Wow.

Tsusaka’s at 26/69. That’s 30 something percent and so far away from 50%.

The next possible 50% is at 43/86. To get that, Tsusaka has to win 17 matches straight without losing any! That’s crazy! Who knows how many time disconnections (dc) will occur again at that DAMN LAGGY place?

Tsusaka has decided to not go for the earring as he is already LVL 55. There’s no point for anymore suicides. Plus, you don’t always see people there. Tsusaka has been pretty lonely waiting for at least another 3 people to go there.
***

Anyway, Tsusaka has a few tips & notes to those who want to attempt the Elin Forest PQ:

1. Make sure you’re at least Level 51 before attempting this PQ to prevent any deaths, including your own and your party members’. You don’t want to lower their completion rate by making them die. If you’re less than Lvl 51, go and find Speigelmann that fat fella for exp in his circus.

2. Bring lots of MP pots and HP pots. If possible brng those that can heal alot at once, e.g. Watermelon, Red Bean Sundae, etc. Red Pots will in fact kill you when you face the boss as you don’t have time to press all those pots.

3. Usually there’s nobody there at the Elin PQ site, so most of the time you’ll have to go to Ludibrium town to find people to join your party. In spite of that, note that if there’s already a party inside, don’t go anywhere as you may join them. Even if you have joined another party and your party members have told you to go to town and look for more people, don’t go anywhere. You’ll end up getting dumped as those at the PQ site will join the other Party once the Party comes out.

4. Try your luck to PQ at around 5 to 7 PM everyday. There ought to be somebody there at that time everyday.

5. Knights of Cygnus can’t take part in this PQ, but who cares? Anyway, if it is your first time playing Elin PQ, be prepared to get a shock of your life as your character will transform into some other character who are ugly… very ugly. Like this:

pergen

You know why they don’t allow KOCs? It is because Maple do not know what to transforum KOCs into. lol.

6. The experience is sweet. 52000 exp if you can complete it.

7. Purify the rain using a dark marble you can get by killing the final form of the boss. You’ll heal faster and purify the rain – which is the original purpose of this PQ.

***

Tsusaka’s out of this PQ.
