A Dose of MapleStory (14): MapleStory Promotes Scamming & Reports Won’t Go Through?

May 31, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Right just now Tsusaka was trying to sell a Maple Doom Singer and a scammer requested a trade. Well, he was trying to scam Tsusaka.

Being a good MapleStory player, Tsusaka decided to report the incident to the authorities (in this case, the GM) to avoid the person from scamming other people. However, he failed. Here’s proof: unmodified, uncut, untouched screenshots of the incident taking place (click the images to enlarge them):

“Aha, a scammer. I’ll report him by clicking the alarm sign at the right to the textbox where I can type things into.”

Wow, looking so formal, just like making a police report. *clicks the CONVERSATION CLAIM* button.

I can see the “do not report trade scams” note down there. Does this mean that MapleStory is actually recommending players to scam others?

Well anyways, I’d still decided to make a report. I am not reporting a scam case, but instead, I am reporting a person who wanted to scam me, not once, but twice, to avoid others from becoming victims.

*Choses the appropriate forms and filled up my report (which had a very limited space).* 1000 meso just to make a report? Well, okay. *Clicks CLAIM*

“Please try again later” was the reply.

WTF?!

Why won’t it go through?!

“Please try again later” wah, if it is in the real world and 999 were to have such a reply, walao how many houses would have been robbed into and how many lives would have been lost!

This also reminds me of the Sabah Electricity Sdn. Bhd. hotline I called when there was a power outage – they did not even pick up the phone!

Perhaps they (the MapleStory GMs) were too lazy to deal with these sort of matter, huh?

Anyway, I do sincerely hope that MapleStory, more specifically MapleSEA and Asiasoft, to buck up and give their player more protection by enabling the report system!
