A Dose of MapleStory (14): MapleStory Promotes Scamming & Reports Won’t Go Through?

May 31, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Right just now Tsusaka was trying to sell a Maple Doom Singer and a scammer requested a trade. Well, he was trying to scam Tsusaka.

Being a good MapleStory player, Tsusaka decided to report the incident to the authorities (in this case, the GM) to avoid the person from scamming other people. However, he failed. Here’s proof: unmodified, uncut, untouched screenshots of the incident taking place (click the images to enlarge them):

Clipboard01
“Aha, a scammer. I’ll report him by clicking the alarm sign at the right to the textbox where I can type things into.”

Clipboard02
Wow, looking so formal, just like making a police report. *clicks the CONVERSATION CLAIM* button.

I can see the “do not report trade scams” note down there. Does this mean that MapleStory is actually recommending players to scam others?

Well anyways, I’d still decided to make a report. I am not reporting a scam case, but instead, I am reporting a person who wanted to scam me, not once, but twice, to avoid others from becoming victims.

Clipboard03
*Choses the appropriate forms and filled up my report (which had a very limited space).* 1000 meso just to make a report? Well, okay. *Clicks CLAIM*

Clipboard04
“Please try again later” was the reply.

WTF?!

Why won’t it go through?!

“Please try again later” wah, if it is in the real world and 999 were to have such a reply, walao how many houses would have been robbed into and how many lives would have been lost!

This also reminds me of the Sabah Electricity Sdn. Bhd. hotline I called when there was a power outage – they did not even pick up the phone!

Perhaps they (the MapleStory GMs) were too lazy to deal with these sort of matter, huh?

Anyway, I do sincerely hope that MapleStory, more specifically MapleSEA and Asiasoft, to buck up and give their player more protection by enabling the report system!

A Dose of MapleStory… (13) – Top Of The Highest Tree In Ellinia

May 26, 2009 · Leave a Comment

300km

Tsusaka’s  at the top of the “tallest tree in Ellinia”.

It claims to be 300km from the ground. If that’s so, then Tsusaka should be at the top of the world, since even the highest mountain in the world, Mt. Everest, is only 8km high!

And what if you were to jump from there?

You’ll end up in Sleepywood.

Hahahaha……

Oh and, Tsusaka was in Ellinia to collect some Lupin’s Banana for Estelle to make some Sweet Syrup, and 100 cursed dolls for Arwen the Fairy.

He then met Faust, the Boss of the region.

faust

Faust was quite easy, truthfully speaking, said Tsusaka. He could defeat it even though he wasn’t prepared at all.

Burung Kakak Tua – Kasane Teto

May 24, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Here’s Burung Kakak Tua, a Malaysian children song, sung by Kasene Teto, a UTAU-loid.

UTAUs is a free software, as opposed to Vocaloids. I was on one hand surprised, on the other hand impressed with the person, apparently a Japanese, who had managed to input the song into the software. Looks like even Bahasa Malaysia songs can be made with such software, and we can expect more in the future! :D

Barisan Nasional Not Contesting in Penanti!

What the title said. Here’s a video of Najib confirming it.

Hum. Incidentally, the following quote is what I was thinking:

Tetapi inilah realiti sebuah sistem pemerintahan yang berteraskan demokrasi, suara rakyat berkuasa menentukan siapa pemimpin yang mereka mahu. Umno dan BN cuba mematikan api demokrasi yang hidup dalam sanubari rakyat dengan memperlecehkan pilihan raya bila mana peluang kemenangan tidak memihak kepada mereka.

That was a quote from a TVAntara article.

BN has also stated that they will not be supporting any independent. I wonder….

This post is for Zee Avi, a Malaysian singer based in the US. She’ll be releasing her debut CD, named after herself, on May 19.

Here’s how Youtube described Zee Avi:

In 2007, Zee Avi began uploading her music to YouTube from her hometown in Malaysia. A year later, she was flown to L.A. to record her debut CD. Enjoy an exclusive acoustic mini-concert from this songstress, along with special video blog greeting to fans.

Here’s a video of her introducing herself to the world:

Sibu MP – The “Jamban” King!

May 18, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I refer to the article at theStar entitled “Toilet king of Malaysia calls it a day“.

This fella, Lau Hoi Chew, has been the Member of Parliament for Sibu (my parent’s hometown) for I dunno how many terms, and yet the only nickname he has earned for himself is, “The Toilet King”. I cry for the people of Sibu, oh me gosh.

Blame the government for giving him the cabinet post of “Deputy Housing & Local Government Minister”. Due to his ministerial duties, he had founded the first Toilet Association in Malaysia, namely the “Quality Restroom Assocation Malaysia (QRAM)” to promote clean public toilet in the country, and even became its first president since it was founded in 2005.

Now as he was moved to another ministry leaving the Housing & Local Government Ministry, he had decided to let go his position as the President of the QRAM.

I sure he had wanted to leave the position as soon as possible. It is a terrible embarrassment for him and his constituents who voted for him if he were to continue to be the “Jamban King”.

And now I wonder, will the person, whoever he or she is, who would take over as the “Deputy Housing & Local Government Minister”, be willing to take over as the President of the QRAM? And perhaps subsequently, the next “Jamban King”? XD

Butterfly On Your Right Shoulder – Len’s version

May 13, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Butterfly on your Right Shoulder – Len ver. is now on #1 spot of the Weekly Vocaloid Ranking, week #84!

The song was originally sung by his twin sister, Rin.

I myself prefer Rin’s version, which was the original one. Rin’s version also managed to top the ranking during week #79. Pretty good for the twins I’d say. Usually they’d be overshadowed by Hatsune Miku for having less attractive voices, especially Len. Len and Rin share a same voice actress, and probably that’s why Len ended up sounding pretty weird. Despite being a guy, his voice is in no way masculine, and instead, his voice sounded like someone faked her voice, like probably the voice actress did anyway.

So much for vocaloids.

Falling Down – Oasis

May 3, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I present to you, the OP of “Eden of the East”. Enjoy!

Falling Down
The summer sun, it blows my mind
Is falling down on all that I’ve ever known
Time will kiss the world goodbye
Falling down on all that I’ve ever known
Is all that I’ve ever known

A dying scream makes no sound
Calling out to all that I’ve ever known
Here am I, lost and found
Calling out to all

We live a dying dream
If you know what I mean
All that I’ve ever known
It’s all that I’ve ever known

Catch the wheel that breaks the butterfly
I cried the rain that fills the ocean wide
I tried to talk with God to no avail
Calling Him in and out of nowhere
Said if You won’t save me, please don’t waste my time

All that I’ve ever known
All that I’ve ever known
It’s all that I’ve ever known

Catch the wheel that breaks the butterfly
I cried the rain that fills the ocean wide
I tried to talk with God to no avail
Calling my name and out of nowhere
Said if You won’t save me, please don’t waste my time

The summer sun, it blows my mind
It’s falling down on all that I’ve ever known
Time will kiss the world goodbye
Falling down on all that I’ve ever known
Is all that I’ve ever known
