Bastards in our Parliament?
November 6, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Thanks to the MP of Pasir Salak, Datuk Tajuddin Abdul Rahman, we now have “bastards” in our august house.
For refusing to accept the fact that Indians in his constituency hates (benci) him, he called his colleague from Ipoh Barat, also from Perak, a bastard, twice, without mincing his words.
Accordingly, he was aggravated by the word “hate” (benci). Therefore, M. Kulasegaran, the “bastard”, retracted the word and changed it with “doesn’t like” (tak suka).
However in the end, the MP of Pasir Salak did retract what he had said.
I pity the voters of Pasir Salak to have such a rude and irresponsible representative. Haiz.

The signboard which triggered laughters…
November 5, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Well, if you can read English, you’ll think that this signboard is perfectly ok. But if you can read Welsh, then it’s a different story – you might think of it as a laughing stock.
Quote: The English is clear enough to lorry drivers – but the Welsh reads “I am not in the office at the moment. Send any work to be translated.”
All official road signs in Wales are bilingual, so the local authority e-mailed its in-house translation service for the Welsh version of: “No entry for heavy goods vehicles. Residential site only”.
The reply duly came back and officials set the wheels in motion to create the large sign in both languages.
The notice went up and all seemed well – until Welsh speakers began pointing out the embarrassing error.

And 2008’s Saimoe is… Kagami!
November 3, 2008 · Leave a Comment
And the official result is:
有効コードがある票の順位
1位 1037票 柊かがみ@らき☆すた [Hiiragi Kagami @ Lucky Star]
2位 976票 柊つかさ@らき☆すた [Hiiragi Tsukasa @ Lucky Star]
And that’s a mere 59 votes majority. Unofficial vote counter had 1350 Kagami votes to 1005 Tsukasa votes, too. >_<; This reminds me of the Sarikei Parliament seat result in the 308 elections.
But who cares? It seems that there are more people cheering than sneering out there and at least people do think that Kagami really deserves the title as Saimoé (最萌). While I’m not particularly happy since Tsukasa, the one I had supported, lost, there’s nothing I can do about it (and yeah, it’s like the same for Pak Lah, I don’t support him, but his party still won the election). Anyways, I’m happy for those people who had voted for Kagami.
I can come to a conclusion: It seems that people are indeed weak towards Tsunderes (we can see Toradora’s Aisaka Taiga as a strong contender of next year’s Saimoe).

The Hiiragi Twins for Saimoé 2008 FTW!
November 2, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Kagami looks shitty in the poster. =\
Well, it came true after all – the Hiiragi twins of Lucky Star pwned Saimoé 2008 by reaching the finals, both Tsukasa and Kagami!! Kagami had beaten Nagisa of Clannad while Tsukasa won Katsura of Hayate.
And while you’re free to support Kagami, I’ll be rooting for…

…her little sister Tsukasa.
A vote for Tsukasa is a vote for all little sisters!!
Now, let’s do it together: L-O-V-E-L-Y Lovely Tsukasa!!
P.S: The Clannad girls have a long time to go. They’ll still qualify next year. ![]()
P.S.S: I agree that Lucky Star is overrated.
P.S.S: I predict that the votes will be badly split among Lucky Star voters, like 600 to 600? Hmm.
Mambau ADUN Accused Of Stealing Old Folk’s Land Title
November 2, 2008 · Leave a Comment
Wong May May, the DAP ADUN for Mambau and also a member of the Negeri Sembilan’s
shadow EXCO, was recently accused by a 70-year-old old man for stealing the land title of his house.
Wong, the sole female ADUN of Pakatan Rakyat in Negeri Sembilan, helped the old man who was a former table tennis player. According to her blog post, the she first met the old man over at Loke Siew Fook’s ADUN office around a year ago when she was still an assistant of Loke. As Loke was not around, she attended to the old man instead. Wong then realised that the old man had many outstanding bills and this included the Indah Water bill, Land Tax bill, etc and decided to help him settle them.
Besides that, she felt the sympathy for the old man whose house was in a terrible condition. Wong and her DAP party members then started to help the old man to clean his house, cut the grass and chop the overgrown trees. However so, this old man was reluctant to let them into his house.
As the news spreads, many charitable bodies came foward to offer their help, and this included NTV7’s “Finding Angel 寻找天使“. They managed to help him in many ways. You can watch the video @ NTV7’s website.
The old man basically has no problem living on his own as he receives monthly pension, and now that NTV7 and the others have helped him much, he should be able to continue living peacefully.
However recently, he has started more trouble by accusing Wong of stealing the land title of his house on the 22nd of October 2008. The old man had even contacted NTV7, MCA’s service centre, Dr. Chen Man Hing (Ex-DAP MP of Seremban), Tzu Chi, and finally the police. Until now Wong has received 3 phone calls from the police about the matter.
Basically, Wong wasn’t even swayed. However she was angry and sad at the same time because she had helped him a lot in the past. Now that after the election she was elected as an ADUN, surely people would come up and disturb her. The only thing she hadn’t expected was that the person who had come up and accuse her would be someone she had helped. She has reiterated that the old man’s room was always locked when she came to visit him so there’s no way she could have taken his land title. Besides that, why would she want to take his land title? Why not money?
Besides that, reporter from China Press has taken statements from both Wong and the old man and made this report. They reported that the old man’s statement was somewhat full with loopholes and he wasn’t able to give some details about the theft when asked.
When asked, Wong stated that she will not defend herself and will only go to the police station if told to do so. This is to prevent the old man from being charged for making a false police report.
