Mysterious Girlfriend X

August 27, 2008 · 1 Comment

Why X? Why not Y or Q or W?

The story is basically like this: A mysterious, cute little girl transferred into your class, is assigned to sit next to you in class and eventually became your girlfriend.

Sounds pretty typical, eh?

I personally enjoy the plot with the whole saliva thing. Some may think it is *yucky* but I am rather amused by it.

There’s one thing which had disturbed me though, and this is it:

2-A?! That’s my class! And the staircase looks pretty the same like our school’s, too!

Creepy, huh?

Well, there’s one thing for sure and that is I am glad that the girl who transferred into my class at the start of this year isn’t as creepy as the girl in the manga above.

Anyways, if you’re interested, you can read it here like I did: http://www.onemanga.com/Mysterious_Girlfriend_X/ (Warning: Lots of saliva)

Anwar Ibrahim is Officially Permatang Pauh MP

August 27, 2008 · 1 Comment

http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2008/8/26/nation/20080826174715&sec=nation

BUKIT MERTAJAM: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has won the Permatang Pauh by-election.

The PKR de-facto leader was returned to Parliament with a majority of 15,671 votes, exceeding the 13,388-vote majority won by his wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail in the March 8 general election.

Anwar garnered 31,195 votes to beat Barisan candidate Datuk Arif Shah Omar Shah, who polled 15,524 votes, while Angkatan Keadilan Insan Malaysia candidate Hanafi Hamat lost his RM15,000 deposit after getting only 92 votes. There were 447 spoilt votes.

“This is the people’s victory,” Anwar said in a victory speech.

“Permatang Pauh has given a clear signal to the leadership of this country. We demand change. We want freedom. We don’t want to live with corruption and oppression.

“We want an independent judiciary, we want the economy to benefit the vast majority not the corrupt few,” he added.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said the result was proof that democracy was still alive in the country and there was no manipulation involved.

“As we have pointed out right from the start, we would be facing a tough challenge,” he said.

The closely watched by-election was called after Dr Wan Azizah resigned as the MP on July 31 to enable her husband to run for election.

Anwar held the seat for four terms before he was sacked from his Deputy Prime Minister’s post in 1998 under corruption and sodomy charges.

Dr Wan Azizah, who had been known as a reluctant politician, won the seat for a third term in March.

A mammoth crowd comprising PKR leaders and supporters gathered early at the tallying centre at the Tuanku Bainun Teacher Training College in Bukit Mertajam to celebrate Anwar’s victory.

Supporters in the crowd let off fireworks as returning officer Roslan Yahaya announced the results about 10pm.

Voter turnout was relatively high, at about 80% of the total of 58,459 registered voters in the constituency.

Barisan was the underdog from the start in the hard-fought by-election that Deputy Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak described as a titanic challenge.

Anwar’s convincing victory was reminiscent of his heyday, when he secured a stunning 23,515-vote majority in the 1995 general election by polling 27,945 votes. In Tuesday’s polling, 47,258 voters cast their ballots, or 80.83% of the 58,459 total number of voters.

Goodbye, PangyaSEA

August 26, 2008 · 2 Comments

…the Philippines server has ceased operating effective 21 January 2008, and the Southeast Asia server ceased operation on 25 August 2008.

I have never played the game Pangya, but I have heard about it before as it was published by Asiasoft, the publisher of MapleSEA.

Pangya was never a popular game – never have I known anyone playing the game. Now, they have decided to close down.

Well, things come and go. Nothing lasts forever. Even someday later MapleSEA will shutdown too.

Arif Shah – fake doctorate?

August 24, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Arif Shah, the Seberang Jaya assemblyman as well as the candidate contesting against Anwar in the Permatang Pauh by-election has been duped into going for a fake Ph.D course.

Arif Shah has revealed in an interview with theStar that he has a degree (apparently from wtf Graber International, Carlifornia) and is currently pursuing another Ph.D from Edison University, Ohio through long distance learning.

Seriously, Arif Shah deserves to be called Pak Kelentong.

Look at what I found, this! I’ll quote some part of it:

…he went to prison his wife, Natalie Handy, opened Edison University, an unaccredited distance education institution operated from a rented mail box at a Mail Boxes Etc. in Honolulu.

Well, it is obvious that something’s amiss. After all, this Arif Shah guy has directly jumped from Bachelor’s Degree to a Doctorate without studying Masters. It is either this Arif Shah guy has cheated his voters, or he has been cheated into going for the fake doctorate.

Besides that, it seems that this ‘Graber International’ that Arif Shah studied in for a Diploma does not exist at all.

So here’s the question: Does Arif Shah has even attended University? Or is he only bullshitting about his academic achievements?

Note that this guy’s a Datuk. Perhaps we should call him ‘Datuk Kelentong’ instead?

Ahahahahahaha!

The websites for the Permatang Pauh By election…

August 23, 2008 · 2 Comments

BN’s website: http://www.pp44.com.my/

My comments: This is a website with A LOT of attacks on Anwar, especially with the words “ANWAR IBRAHIM YANG KURANG AJAR”. However so, this website has managed to pass on its message to its visitors loud and clear. However so, I have to disagree with the flashing “tak buat kerja” banner as the government has been the BN for as far as I know and the money is all with the government, so it is the BN who has not buat kerja.

Keadilan’s website: http://www.permatangpauh.com/

My comments: The website is badly designed and the news are put behind links and links where lazy people won’t care to click on them. It badly reflects Keadilan. Well, at least they don’t go and attack Arif Shah, at least not too much.

AKIM’s website: NONE

My comments: We have a spoiler here from AKIM. Who cares about him? This ‘Haji Pi’ guy doesn’t even have a website for the campaign as far as I know.

A short quote (2)

August 21, 2008 · Leave a Comment

“Azizah doesn’t like it when I say kepala bapak hang (your father’s head) in ceramahs, but I told her this is not Selangor, this is Permatang Pauh, you have to be crude in order to be understood,” – Anwar Ibrahim.

Coloured Bras – Banned in Schools, And They Confiscate It!

August 17, 2008 · 2 Comments

Well, as you know, coloured bras are banned in some schools (and this includes Tshung Tsin). This means in these schools, you (if you are a girl, duh!) can only wear flesh coloured bras. Coloured bras are against the school rules, so, what are you going to do about it? Confiscate it? We prefects are always asked this question.

Well, in Tshung Tsin, we do not confiscate the bra, but instead we take down the student’s name and marks will be deducted.

However, believe it or not, in some other schools, the bras will be confiscated and the girls will have to walk around braless!

They say by wearing coloured bras to school, it will entice male students & teachers, but now if they were to confiscate it, won’t the whole point of forbidding coloured bras be lost?

Here are some of the comments I found in Kenny Sia’s blog:

Go figure.

Koo Kien Kiat + Tan Boon Heong out of Olympics

August 13, 2008 · Leave a Comment

I was watching the live results on the official website since TV1 is not showing the match on TV and I don’t have the priviledge of astro.

When I saw this, I knew it was the end of Malaysia’s dream of getting a medal.

I shouldn’t have boasted about the Malaysian team at my classmates…

Facebook’s My Heroes Ability

August 6, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Is there a limit to the number of statuses you can be afflicted with?

Well, since a few days ago I have been addicted to this game “My Heroes Ability”. It was based on the TV show Heroes. This game… is not really a game, but rather it’s an application in Facebook. The only way you can play this game is to have a Facebook account.

It took me a while to get used to this game, and now being a level 30, I’m the second strongest amongst my friends. xD

I was given Pyrokinesis when I had started the game. Basically that’s the ability to manipulate fire. Then I learned another advanced ability Radiation Manipulation, and the name says it all.

Here’s a few tips for you guys playing the game:

- You can buy rings in Madras, India. Save at least 5000 CR for that Platinum Ring! (The bunny shoes are useless so don’t touch that.)

- You can buy necklaces in Cairo, Egypt.

- You can forget abilities in Toronto, Canada (for some CR, of course!).

- The JFK International Airport is the best place to train with NPCs if you’re low leveled. There are lots of low leveled NPCs there.

- Start off with / Learn Precognition – it is so far the most useful ability, well, to me, at least. It helps boost a person, plus it gives an extra 50% accuracy.
